Project ‘Drop by Drop Initiative’ would first launch a city-wide survey to gather information about the water concerns prevalent amongst the slum residents of Delhi. The same would be put in use to prepare a comprehensive manual that will inform the residents about low-cost infrastructure that can be used and maintained to procure clean water and store the same for long-term use.
In addition to this, the project will organize a fundraiser that would support the installation of sustainable infrastructures like solar-powered water pumps, rainwater harvesting mechanisms, and leak-proof water storage systems in the slum areas of Delhi for the people to use and store available water on a long-term basis. The children of these locales would also be educated about the global water crisis, for them to spread awareness amongst their community people to make the latter guardians of the local water infrastructure.
