Kanishka Kumar is a student of Delhi Public School, New Delhi, who has a deep interest in physics, chemistry, mathematics, and computer applications, for how they individually, and together, produce opportunities for innovation. He is a self-driven individual who has honed his knowledge in the field of STEM through courses offered by Stanford University to better grasp how physics and mathematics are instrumental in the changing world of today.
Besides this, he has had a prolonged focus on developing himself as a proficient coder, with a personal interest in how the fields of UI/UX and Robotics have acquired novel edges by the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models. Over the course of his exploration, Kanishka has also been engrossed in how the field of STEM is responding to sustainable and accessibility concerns, having worked on internship projects pertaining to water rights and individual research projects focusing on rainwater harvesting in informal settlements. The same manifested as the ‘Drop by Drop Initiative,’ another of his efforts to reach out to the marginalized sections that are often overlooked in Water policies.
Outside of his social and academic engagements, Kanishka has a personal interest in the harmonium and the glockenspiel, having gained a proficiency enough to perform at intra-school shows with his school orchestra. With music, he is also a dedicated athlete, with an interest in basketball, in which he has been involved for about eleven years. His training has gained him multiple accolades across tournaments and championships.
